Our double barrel dessert wine is named after a local historic port located furthest north on the Brazos River very near our Jones Prairie vineyard.
Our 1st Port from our Lenoir grapes, grown in Jones Prairie and stored 3 years in Bourbon Barrels.

The vineyard is planted with three acres of grapes using sustainable farming practices that limit our impact upon the environment and provide better tasting wine grapes to our winery partners. Our goal is to reduce our environmental impact through the use of compost fertilizer, eliminate herbicide use and apply only organic approved fungicides.
Estate grown wines may be purchased online or at our Tasting Room in Calvert, TX
Lenoir and Blanc Du Bois
Our ninth leaf Lenoir and eighth leaf Blanc Du Bois are planted on GDC systems. The high cordon training system maximizes morning sunlight to ripen the fruit to perfection, while providing cooling afternoon shade to the berries during the hottest part of the day.
En Gedi Vineyards is a family owned business built on a foundation of faith and family. Our mission is to provide our customers with the finest fruit and estate-grown wines produced in the Gulf Coast Region of Texas.
Situated in North East Milam County, En Gedi Vineyards is nestled into the rolling hills along the Brazos River Valley. A deep, fertile, well drained, sandy loam topsoil sits over a red mottled clay subsoil providing an ideal bed for wine grape production. Ancient petrified trees buried throughout the vineyard provide a unique minerality, enhancing the character of wines produced with our grapes. Ample rain, gentle southern breezes, and plenty of sunshine ripen the fruit to perfection.
The vines are planted running North and South on a Geneva Double Curtain (GDC) system to compensate for their vigorous growth and to maximize early morning sunlight and afternoon shade during the growing season.
